True Religion plans to launch footwear for spring 2011

SoCal denim line True Religion announced today that it will launch a footwear collection in time for spring 2011. This isn't the brand's first foray into accessories--they launched an eyewear line last fall. This isn't even their first footwear collection--they did it previously in fall '07. But now the brand has partnered up with the Huntington Beach-based Titan Industries, who also does footwear for Bebe, Badgley Mischka, Betsey Johnson and Harajuku Lovers.

According to WWD, the collection will contain 30 styles priced from $125 to $250. The designs will probably keep within the brand's image of California bohemian cool. I predict lots of real leather and suede, boots, neutral earth tones, and styles that look great with a pair of jeans. The company has confirmed that there will also be metallic hues and exotic skins, plus stilettos and flats. But for spring, I expect casual sandals to be in the mix as well.

The collection will be available in department stores and specialty boutiques across the country.
