Green Shoe Studios offered a song writing contest where people could submit a video of their song. They did not expect what they received in the mail.
A simple man wrote simple song about the simple lady in his life.
Fred’s wife had just passed away, and one night he was feeling sad and lonely. He took out his writing instrument and pinned the words of his heart – words that have touched the heart and soul of so many.
While his submission did not qualify for the contest since he stated he could not sing or perform the song, he got more than he ever thought possible.
Green Shoe decided to put his words to music and have it professionally recorded. In a world of so much hatred, divorce, and even murder, it is heart warming to see in this video the joy of loving the same person all of your life; and knowing that true love never dies.
If you have loved someone for a long time or have lost someone you have loved for a long time, you will be able to identify with Fred. If not, you can see that there is such a thing as “until death do us part” even if more than seven decades have passed.
This video will touch your heart and hopefully encourage younger couples to see that true love never fails nor fades. The trick is finding your one true love, and then making them the most important thing in your life. Love and marriage based on love and not lust can be an everlasting love. Lust will fade – love will live forever.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
You may watch this video and hear the whole story of Fred Stobaugh's love for his "Sweet Lorraine." If it touches your heart – share the joy with others.
"Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away but…true love endures forever."
