When Luna died at the beginning of the sixth season of '"True Blood", many fans were upset that the shifter that was the romantic interest of Sam Merlotte would no longer be on the show. Well, now fans who love the vampire show, "True Blood", can now enjoy her on the tamer CW vampire show, "The Vampire Diaries".
The actress Janina Gavankar will be playing a vampire named Tessa. Tessa will be shown in the third episode that is said to be a flashback show that will show her connection to a vampire in Mystic Falls. She is said to be there to rekindle an old flame.
She has also played on "Arrow" and another vampire show, "The Gates".
"The Vampire Diaries" airs on Thursday evenings at 8:00 pm. The addition of Janina Gavankar should add to the steamy relationships on the angsty teen show. Now, with Katherine on the run, Elena and Caroline at college and Bonnie dead there really needs to be a female in Mystic Falls. And Tessa should make that perfect addition.
When Janina Gavankar and Sam Trammell were at "Scarefest" I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to them at the event. Each spoke highly of 'True Blood" especially Sam who said that the executives want to make this the most memorable season and really tie everything together.
