"True Blood" beauty Anna Paquin showcased her svelte post-baby body at the Tom Ford cocktail event in support of Project Angel Food in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Feb. 21.
Paquin, 30, donned a body-hugging black cocktail dress that accentuated her slender waist and toned arms. Amazingly, there's not an inch to pinch on the 5-foot-5 Anna, who gave birth to twins just five months ago (in September 2012).
Paquin follows a healthy diet and works out regularly to stay fit. In addition to boxing, Anna jumps rope, does body-sculpting workouts and hot yoga to maintain her taut bikini body.
"My favorite workout by far is boxing," Anna told Health. "It’s so much fun. You do a full proper boxing workout. You start jumping rope, and you do the pads, where your trainer calls out the combinations and you do them."
While Paquin wants to being healthy, she admits that vanity is the primary motivator for her intense exercise regimen. "Being naked at work [is my biggest motivator]," said Anna, who's married to "True Blood" co-star Stephen Moyer and has frequent love scenes with her other co-star, Alexander Skarsgard.
"I try to eat well, but sometimes you can be a little too obsessive. I feel good when I feel like I'm really strong. And that's not necessarily when I'm at my numerically most gratifying weight [on the scale]. I think there’s also a really big difference between looking healthy and being healthy."
Paquin tries to maintain a relaxed approach to dieting and weight control by not obsessing. "As I get older, I’m learning to balance that stuff better, not focus on one thing at the expense of everything else," she said.
"Sometimes it’s like, walk away from the elliptical machine. Go sit outside. Do something relaxing. Because you’ll be in a better mood."
