A new vampire is being cast on this series, according to Spoiler TV. This new vampire will be named Wes, and he will have some issues with Jason. His character is described as 'sexy, smart, compassionate, protective' by the site, and he will have been turned in the 1970s.
He will feature into a love triangle with Jason and another vampire. Jessica is not mentioned. Wes will be a recurring cast member in season six, and he will be elevated to full status for season seven, according to the site.
This is the first mention of a seventh season for this HBO series. Alan Ball left the series at the end of season five, and a new man is in charge of things for season six. The season had to be shortened due to Anna Paquin's pregnancy. A 10 episode season will air this summer.
