'True Blood' season 7 spoilers: Luke Grimes leaves before final season

"True Blood" season 7 spoilers are coming out and something shocking has happened with the cast. On Dec. 30, TV Line shared that Luke Grimes will not be returning for the final season of the series. His character is very important to the series and so they will actually be replacing the actor instead of killing off the character.

He plays Jessica's lover James. Luke joined the show during season six and is now already leaving it. It is pretty shocking for someone to quit a role and be replaced with a new actor.

Rumors are out that Grimes didn't like what they had planned for James in the final season so he asked to be let out of his contract. Actors feel close to their characters and need to be okay with the direction the role goes. Grimes can still be seen in "Fifty Shades of Grey" as Christian's brother though.
