'True Blood' season 7 preview: Everyone's in trouble

With every episode of "True Blood" that airs this summer, we're one hour closer to the series finale. Next week is episode 2, "I Found You," and HBO released a new promo on Sunday, June 22, after the season 7 premiere, that teases not only that episode but what's to come in the next few weeks as well.

Ryan Kwanten “Jason Stackhouse,” Anna Paquin “Sookie Stackhouse,” Joe Manganiello “Alcide Herveaux,” Chris Bauer “Andy Bellefleur” and Sam Trammell “Sam Merlotte” in 'True Blood' season 7
HBO, used with permission

In the "True Blood" season premiere, H-vamps attacked Bon Temps when they were setting up a "pick your vampire for protection, pick your human for blood" deal, and lives were lost – including Tara's – and some were taken hostage – including Arlene, Holly and Nicole. Everyone blamed Sookie, making it impossible for her to stay in a public area without the thoughts overwhelming her, but she did stand up and let them know that they need her because she knows vampires the best in the town. Finally, Pam was off looking for Eric, and the last bit of information she received surprised her.

In this next episode, the trio of hostages taken in the Bellefleur's attack looks to a familiar face as a possible liberator from the H-vamps. Sookie and Jason visit the neighboring town of Saint Alice, where a young woman's diary offers clues to the possible fate of Bon Temps. Meanwhile, spurned by Lafayette, a desperate Lettie Mae turns to Willa to channel her family past. Vince whips his fellow vigilantes into a dangerous frenzy. Finally, Pam's search for her maker leads her to a very familiar place.

The season 7 promo shows that things are just going to get crazier in the upcoming weeks. While they hope to find their captured friends, they're not the only ones in trouble. Everyone is in trouble. However, amidst the blood and the death and the danger, there's still time for some romance. Sookie may be with Alcide, but there's stuff coming up with Sookie and Bill. Also, Lafayette wants some happiness too. Plus, Pam refuses to give up her search for Eric, but what will she find?

"True Blood" season 7 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO. What do you think of this preview for this season?
