"True Blood" season 7 continues next week with episode 4, "Death Is Not the End," for which HBO released a new sneak preview on Sunday, July 6, after episode 3, "Fire in the Hole." So what comes next as the countdown continues to the show's final episode?
In the latest episode of "True Blood," the town mob of crazies tried to drive Sam out of Bon Temps and Vince declared himself mayor. Sam flew away, leaving his truck behind, and when Jason, Violet, Andy and Jessica found it, the mob confronted them. Hoyt's mother blamed Jessica for Hoyt leaving her and shot her in the shoulder, and Violet then proceeded to rip out her heart. However, Jessica didn't heal like she should have.
Meanwhile, the H-Vamps went hunting and took Holly with them. At the same time, Sookie drank Bill's blood and put herself out there as vampire bait so he could find her after she was taken back to the others being held by the infected vampires. (They had enough time on their hands waiting that Sookie admitted to Bill about Alcide, "I'm afraid that I don't love him as much as he loves me.") When the H-Vamps showed up, Alcide, Sam, Jason, Andy, Violet and Jessica did as well and killed them. That was when members of the town mob began shooting, and Alcide was killed.
Elsewhere, James spilled to Lafayette about his problems with Jessica, and after the two got high together, the vampire admitted Lafayette wasn't "misreading" anything, but Jessica was still in the picture. Also, Pam gave Eric something to live for when she told him Jason let Sarah Newlin live. However, they weren't the only ones after her.
In this next episode, in the aftermath of yet another bloodbath, Sam, Sookie and Jason find themselves the bearers of bad news in Bon Temps and beyond. Meanwhile, Pam recalls the events that led her and Eric to Shreveport and Fangtasia. Elsewhere, Bill and Jessica get nourishment from unexpected sources. Finally, following a new lead, Sookie gets a band of vampires and humans to help track down the H-Vamps.
The "Death Is Not the End" promo shows that things are just going to get crazier and crazier. They may have Holly back after killing the H-Vamps that took her with them when they went hunting, but what about the others? Well, it looks like they're going to be staging a rescue, but will they be able to save all of them? Where is Arlene being taken to? Meanwhile, Jessica's not healing because she's not eating, and James leaves. Elsewhere, Pam's looking for Eric. What happened to him now?
"True Blood" season 7 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO. What do you think of this preview of episode 4 "Death Is Not the End"?
