"True Blood" is getting ready for its final season on HBO, and now fans are being given more details about the season ahead. On Tuesday, Dec. 17, TV Fanatic shared new spoilers for the series, and a new love interest is being cast for Lafayette. He is played by Nelsan Ellis on the series.

Lafayette has been without a love interest since Jesus was killed during the season four finale. The man's ghost appeared to Lafayette some, but he stayed out of relationships since his lover's death. Now, a new man will enter his life. The series is looking for an actor to play a character named Drake. The man will be in his 20s, and the role will have a regular cast status for the final season.

Lafayette has lived an interesting life. His character was never meant to live after season one. The character played a small role in the books the television series is based on, and he was killed off first. All of the events that have happened to Lafayette on this series have been created by the writing staff. Lafayette has become a fan favorite, and it would be nice to see him happy when the series ends its run on HBO.

What do you think? Is it time for a new man for Lafayette? "True Blood" will return to HBO in 2014.
