There have been rumors floating around the Internet that Eric Northman, the 1,000 year old vampire may be meeting his true death in season six of "True Blood." On April 17 Wetpaint shares that it could be a likely possibility with what is known of the upcoming season.
There are several clues that could point to this being a true statement, but, obviously, fans will have to follow the season to know for sure. One of the biggest clues leading fans to believe this is the fact that several sources have claimed that this season will be a huge problem between vampires and humans.
Episode seven of the season is titled "The Funeral," which obviously means that someone is going to end up dying. Whether it will be a human, vampire, shifter, or otherwise is unknown. Also, Joe Manganiello, who plays pack leader Alcide, has also hinted at a major death this season, but obviously can't share who will be dying. From previously released spoilers about the season, it seems like the vampires are going to become a minority facing huge challenges this season.
Currently, Alexander Skarsgard, who plays Eric, is working of developing his American film career and has signed up to play roles alongside big names such as Ellen Paige, Jason Bateman, and Julianne Moore. While "True Blood" hasn't ever really followed much of the original Sookie Stackhouse book series by Charlaine Harris, Eric Northman is still alive and well in the most recent book.
Do you think that "True Blood" should allow Eric Northman to meet his true death or should he remain a main character of the show?
