News broke yesterday that General Hospital and Bunheads hottie Nathan Parsons has been tapped as a series regular and will take over the role of vampire James in the final season of HBO's True Blood.

Emmy nominated Parsons gained a loyal following after his 4 year stint as Luke Spencer's (Anthony Geary) con-artist-with-a-good-heart son Ethan Lovett on ABC's General Hospital. While fans were sorry to see him leave GH, they took to twitter to show their support for his new role:

"General Hospital WUB ‏@WubsNet He'll make a DREAMY zexy addition to that cast!! #NathanParsons #TrueBlood #GH"

"Katie ‏@lilkatie24 Love with #GH actors get a chance to shine #TrueBlood #NathanParsons"

"Ann Marie ‏@krystal_skyi I have seen bits of him on GH. I think he'll do awesome! #NathanParsons"

Parsons definitely made his mark on the iconic daytime drama who recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary and fans were thrilled when Ethan made an appearance during their milestone episode. In an homage to the Spencer/Cassadine war and classic "Ice Princess" storyline, Parsons was one of the slew of veterans that returned for the special event. Ethan had been taken by Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) as a decoy and stashed him on the Haunted Star out to sea. Luckily he made his escape after helping his father kill Helena, leaving the door open for Ethan to strut back into Port Charles. Many wondered if he would return.

Not only did Parsons make fans of General Hospital swoon, women young and old were fanning imaginary flames when he made his shirtless debut as Godot on ABC Family's Bunheads. Though only in a handful of episodes in its' final season, his scenes were memorable to say the least!

Now that he's headed to Bon Temp, LA, what is in store for his character James? If you don't recall exactly who James is, he was the vampire held captive and refused to have sex with with Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll). James is definitely different than most vampires who turn their humanity off, he refused and it cost him a fang! Looks like James will have his hands full this season. According to TV Line's Michael Ausiello, James will be involved in a love triangle.

True Blood returns this summer.

In another exciting twist, Zap2It reported not only will the stud be making his rounds in Bon Temp, but Parsons has also been cast as a werewolf in a recurring role on The CW's hit show The Originals. He debuts on Feb. 4 as werewolf girl Haley's acquaintance Jackson. Fans that ship Elijah/Haley might have competition! Will Jackson make a move for an Original's girl? Klaus has been territorial when it comes to his unborn child, bring a formidable werewolf in town, sparks may fly!

Parsons is looking at a very busy Spring and Summer shooting schedule, but fans couldn't be happier to learn of his new roles.
