According to a Dec. 30 report from E! Online, the role of James will be recast. Luke Grimes will not be returning to his role and was asked to be let out of his contract for the last season. After running for seven years, “True Blood” will air the final season in 2014.
Luke Grimes played James, the man who was in love with Jessica. He met her when she was detained in a facility where humans experimented on vampires. The role will be involved in a story line during the last season. Grimes was not happy with the writing of James and decided to pursue other endeavors.
“True Blood” fans are disappointed with the news, especially because the series is ending. The new episodes will begin during the summer of 2014. It has been a huge hit for the HBO network, and fans will miss it when it ends.
