True Blood, the life of modern vampires. (HBO)
In last night's episode 7 of True Blood, titled "Release Me", Bill refused young fresh blood in the past and worried about Sookie in the present. Watch a preview of what happens next week in episode 8, "Timebomb."
HBO's True Blood, where vampires and synthetic blood (TruBlood) are not too shocking for the people of Bon Temps and the pleasures of life are too tempting to pass on, is a drama that has not only echoed vampires' recent popularity, but actually brought it to a new level of sexy. And although vampires in the show live on synthetic blood to coexist among humans, they fight enough to produce gallons of the real kind to keep them alive for an eternity or two.
In last night's episode on August 2nd, Hugo was not as strong as telepathic waitress Sookie (Anna Paquin), and he revealed their names and mission to Steve in the basement of the Fellowship of the Sun anti-vampire church. Also, Bill (Stephen Moyer) told Lorena that he would drive a stake through "whatever semblance of a heart you have left," if Sookie got hurt. But it is not him who saves her from Gabe, who attempts to force himself on her. A 15 year-old tattooed boy grabs her attacker and suspends him in mid-air, and Sookie asks, "Godric?"
What will happen in next week's episode? Watch a preview of the show many believe was unfairly snubbed for Emmy nominations. Episode 8 of True Blood, titled "Timebomb", airs on Sunday, August 9th at 9pm EST on HBO.
