Sookie: “A lot’s changed since I last saw you.”

Warlow snaps. He goes absolutely evil when Sookie suggests that they date instead of him turning her and them running off into the daylight together. First off, this is way too quick of a 180. It’s not like Sookie said no. If she did, then it would be a little more understandable that Warlow stopped playing nice. By making Warlow evil at the end, it feels like the writers are trying to lessen the blow of his death. If Warlow was still being nice to Sookie, and then was killed by Jason and Niall, his death could have been more emotional for the viewers. Did Warlow surprise you by going psycho?
Here are some quick thoughts on the finale. Thankfully, the writers really focus on the Warlow issue. It’s all that is addressed, there’s one issue and then the writers show how it affects certain people. There’s a gathering of people to save Sookie, which is really what the episode pre-flash forward is about. One interesting side effect of Warlow’s death, is that everyone that was fed his blood loses its magical power aka day walking. This sort of makes sense, in a weird supernatural magic kind of way. The main question about all of this is: is Eric really dead? He can’t be dead, right? Pam has to save him! What’s your take?
It’s a brave new world out there. The flash forward shows a new Bon Temps, one where people are rallying together to try to keep themselves safe from the masses of vampires suffering from HPV that are scurrying from small town to small town, looking for innocent people to feed off of and kill. First off, it is great to see the town all together. It’s giving off a feeling of season one and two, where the main storyline involved Bon Temps as a whole, and not a bunch of people doing their own thing. There are some surprises. Somehow Sam is mayor. It would have been nice to see how that happened. Merlotte’s is now Bellefleur’s, which just makes me miss Terry. Alcide and Sookie are together. Yay? Are you excited about the potential for the next season? What parts have you the most/least excited?
