The stars of "True Blood" had a feeling Season 7 would be the end, E! News reported on Thursday, September 19.
"We were all suspecting it, because all of our contracts were up so they did a renegotiation for one more year and so we thought, 'Oh, it's coming,'" said Carrie Preston, who plays Arlene on the show. "But then when you hear it, it's like, 'Oh!,' this pang,” she added.
Show runner Brian Buckner sent the "True Blood" cast and crew an email the day before they were told.
"He sent us all an email saying, 'Just so you know, tomorrow there's going to be an announcement.' It was all very gooey and sweet,” she said.
Preston knows that the final days of filming will be “bittersweet.”
"I think we're going to be counting our blessings and really trying to make the most of every moment," she said.
The HBO vampire horror drama series will return next summer for a 10-episode final season.
