On the last episode before the finale, Evan Rachel Wood made her debut appearance as Queen of Louisianna Sophie-Anne in episode 11 of season 2 of True Blood, "Frenzy."
Searching for answers, more specifically how to get rid of the evil maenad Maryann (Michelle Forbes), and anxious to get back to Sookie (Anna Paquin), Bill (Stephen Moyer) got to Sophie-Anne, who is over 1000 years old, when she was, well, drinking from a lady's thigh.
Hoping to keep him with her for as long as possible, Sophie-Anne stalled and made Bill play Yathzee and visit with her by the pool. Meanwhile, the havoc created by Maryann in Bon Temps did nothing but escalate. Finally, however, she tells Bill what he needs to know: Maryann can only be killed if she meets the God Who Comes.
In Bon Temps, Tara (Rutina Wesley) manages to get away from Sookie and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) and ends up helping Eggs build a nest for a giant egg out of Sookie's bed (?). And speaking of Lafayette, it turns out that he, too, has vividly sexual dreams about vampire Eric (Alexander Skarsgard).
"Frenzy" set things up for a finale that should be full of surprises, considering there is a giant egg involved, and that Bill knows Maryann can actually be killed. The last episode of Season 2 of True Blood airs on September 13th at 9pm EST on HBO. Charlaine Harris, author of the books that inspired the Alan Ball created show, will make a cameo appearance.
