While it may sound fun to be an actor on HBO's "True Blood", we are quickly learning that it is ultimately quite an experience. Not only do you have to deal with a plethora of fangs and nude scenes, but there is also the issue of drinking blood to deal with.
In a new interview with Self Magazine, series star Anna Paquin (who plays Sookie Stackhouse) talked about what it was like for her character to drink Bill's blood:
“I get a kick out it, but the actual blood makes me want to gag! In season one, they asked me if I wanted sugar or sugar-free. I was like, ‘Sugar-free blood? Sounds great!’”
However, she goes on to say that the blood really tastes like "latex" thanks to the piping it goes through, and that in filming one scene with co-star / fiance Stephen Moyer she had to practically drink "a gallon" of the stuff in one day.
