Both Trostel's Dish and Trostel's Greenbriar have wine and food tasting events planned for later this month. Both events are opportunities to sample cuisine from fantastically creative chefs and learn about wines from very well-respected wineries.
On Monday, March 25, Trostel's Dish will host their event starting at 6 p.m. The evening will feature six wines from the Francis Ford Coppola Winery (California) and fives courses created by Dish's Chef Jed Hoffman. Susie Olson, Regional Sales Representative of Francis Ford Coppola Winery, will explain the rich history of this family winery established by the famous director Francis Ford Coppola. You will enjoy wines from their Diamond, Director's Cut, Rosso & Bianco, Votre Santé and Sofia Series. Reservations for the tasting event may be made by calling Trostel's Dish at (515) 221-3474, and the cost will be $60 per person (plus tax and gratuity).
The very next day, on March 26, Trostel's Greenbriar will hold their event starting at 6 p.m. The Greenbriar tasting will feature a more international focus. Chef Troy Trostel will offer food and wine pairings from the regions of Washington, France, Spain, Italy and California. Each small plate will complement the characteristics of the unique wines and regions they represent. The wines will come from the extensive portfolio of Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Washington, and they will be showcased by their Midwest Regional Manager Alan Clemmensen. The Greenbriar event will also be $60 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at (515) 253-0124.
