Tropicana has a nice line-up of holiday-related events coming up, including something free and a few events priced to save you money for your holiday gift list.
Trop’s ‘Fifth Annual Holiday Spectacular’ with a tree lighting ceremony jumps the season a bit (November 11), but being on Veteran’s Day, it may find some more folks with available time to attend. (www.tropicana.net)
Their Holiday Musical Light Show will begin immediately after the tree lighting ceremony in Fiesta Plaza in The Quarter at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. The lightshow will then be presented every hour on the hour, from noon until 10 p.m. Monday – Thursday and noon until midnight Friday - Sunday, throughout the holiday season.
During the event, Tropicana will collect toys, gift cards and other items for A.R.M.S. – Project Little Soldier and they will present A.R.M.S with a donation during the ceremony.
For non-free, but reasonably priced family entertainment, IMAX (www.imaxtheaterattropicana.com) at the Trop begins showing Disney’s: A Christmas Carol on November 6. Tickets are $15 and advance purchase is recommended.
The classic holiday tale, Miracle on 34th Street – The Musical, will play in the Tropicana Showroom on select dates from November 14 – December 19, tickets are priced at $25.
Finally, Tropicana will present the second Running of the Santas on December 12---silly, but we can use some silly.
