The fourth named storm in the 2010 Atlantic Hurricane Season was named Danielle on Sunday August 22nd. It had been three weeks of silence since Tropical Storm Colin passed by Bermuda. This storm may very well hit Bermuda as well, but as a strong hurricane.
Winds have increased to 60 mph as of the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center. The satellite video loop below shows a very healthy storm with an expanding cloud deck and circulation. This storm will be running into warm sea surface temperatures and little upper level winds to hinder growth. See the latest images and forecasts in the slide show below.
