Friday, Tropical Storm Bonnie moved through inland Florida and became less organized, according to the National Hurricane Center. The storm was upgraded Thursday from a tropical depression, and Friday its maximum winds stayed strong at 40 mph. Tropical Storm Bonnie made landfall near Biscayne Bay, Florida earlier today, and is currently moving west-northwest.

Friday, a tropical storm warning was issued for the northern Gulf of Mexico coast. The warning includes the west coast of Florida over to the East Cape Sable to Englewood. It also includes Destin, Florida, to Morgan City, Louisiana.

The 2010 Tropical Storm Bonnie is expected to move over the Gulf of Mexico Friday night and Saturday and pick up strength then, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Thursday, BP suspended work on the relief well because of Tropical Storm Bonnie.
