A glitch has been discovered in God of War III in which you can obtain a trophy without meeting the requirements.
The “Maxed Out!” silver trophy can normally be acquired by upgrading all the weapons in the story mode to the maximum with red orbs. To do so, players must string together high combos and painstakingly search for hidden treasure chests throughout the adventure. This can be tough when playing at a higher difficulty levels.
A forum user at PS3Trophies.org has discovered an alternative method to acquiring the trophy. The glitch appears in Combat Arena, which will be unlocked once you beat the story and Challenge of Olympus mode. To activate it, set Kratos’ health, magic and item meters to “Level 1” in addition to putting the difficulty to “Titan.” Pick whichever enemies you wished to fight and then start the match. In the arena, simply die over and over again until the game prompts you to switch to Easy Mode. Choose “No” to return to the title screen and the “Maxed Out!” trophy prompt should appear a few seconds later.
It is unknown at this time if the developer, SCE Santa Monica Studio, will be fixing this glitch. God of War III was released on March 16th exclusively for the Playstation 3.

The "maxed out!" trophy is easy to get though..
The game provides more than enough souls to max out every weapons and items 'til you fight Zeus at the end.
Using Helios head to find hidden chests helps a lot.
that's true o0 I don't see how anybody could finish that game WITHOUT maxing out everything easily
using hermes coin also helps, since it gives you 10X the amount of orbs.
If you've gotten to that point in the game, how you couldn't have already got the trophy is rather puzzling.

I found a really stupid glitch.. When you fight Zeus for the first time and its that generic fighting game style of play where you see from the side, spam him with the lightning magic and he will go invisible for the rest of the fight... Good luck beating him...

you cant use hermes coin because it disables trophies.
any of the costumes, or collectibles you find disable trophies which sucks!
how the hell are you suppose to get this anyway?
ive found all the chests, godly possessions, gorgons eyes, pheonix feathers, metador horns and i only got to max out the cestus, blades of exile and blades of hades and thats it i ran out of orbs.
can not believe they did that in this game i was so disappointed i was expecting it to be like GOW1 and 2 where you can start a new game with all your weapons leveled up and orbs carry over.
why the hell did they remove that?
thats one thing they should patch or release as DLC or whatever, its really annoying playing the game with such weak weapons when youve experienced what their like maxed out.

Also I played it through on EASY and got the maxed out trophy just before getting to the Zeus fight. And I'm not very good at finding all the orb chests or stringing together combos, so if I can do it, anyone can.
Name: The reason they did this, which I didn't realize until someone pointed it out, was if they start you all over with all the weapons, you can essentially beat the game in like 20 or 30 minutes. Once you get to where the three Judges are you can skip the entire game by destroying those blue things on the back of the heads of the judges, and then just climbing up the chain.
It DOES suck though.

GOW3 is far to linear for my liking, the level design in this is no where near as good as the first 2.
in GOW and GOW2 you basically found new areas and new rooms there was very little backtracking.
but in this almost everything revolves around the 3 judges, or the flame, or persious.

This is a silly post. That trophy is the easiest to get since it's inevitable you get enough souls to upgrade everything by the time you finish the game.

I was playing on Hard and didn't get enough souls for the maxed out trophy. Maybe it was because I upgraded the arrows and maybe something else? I died over 75 times though and it was a blast.
They probably added this "glitch" on purpose just in case people missed the trophy.
how is it silly you do not recieve enough orbs to max everything.
i found every single chest, every single gorgans eye, EVERYTHING! and i did not have enough to max out all my weapons at the end.
im doing chaos difficulty now and jesus tap dancing christ it is HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im upto the hades boss battle and o my god by the end of this im going to have 3 broken controllers 1 broken tv and ill be bald!
