Nate Fox, director of inFamous: Second Son, said the game’s developer looked into trophy data when deciding on what inFamous 2 ending to build the sequel’s narrative upon, according to a report today from VG 24/7.

In a phone interview with the website, Fox said Sucker Punch mined through inFamous 2 trophy data to see which of the game’s two endings players settled on the most in order to develop the inFamous: Second Son narrative.

Additionally, Fox said that he and Sucker Punch plan on looking at the same trophy data provided from the PlayStation 4 exclusive when it comes out, but didn’t dish on the specifics of what will potentially influence the next game in the inFamous series.

“We’re absolutely going to be looking at trophy data to see where we go next, but I couldn’t tell you which trophies we’ll be looking at,” Fox said.

According to Fox, the latest series effort will see players making impactful plot choices in inFamous: Second Son, so much that he believes gamers will need to play through at least twice in order to experience each variable.
