The third annual TriRock Triathlon is scheduled for Annapolis, Maryland on Saturday, July 20. It's part of a series of eight triathlons scheduled around the country this year. For the triathlon calendar, see http://trirock.competitor.com/.

Registration for the triathlon races is open now and the TriRock Annapolis 2012 sold out.

What is a triathlon? A race that involves swimming, biking and running.

Athletes will compete in the Annapolis Tri Rock by age groups. A military division is open only to active military members, who will compete by gender but not by age.

A Clydesdale/Athena division is also available for males weighing at least 220 lbs. and females at least 165 lbs.

Teams may register so one athlete can pass the baton to another for different segments of the race.
