The Aspen to Breckenridge route for stage 2 includes the high point and most popular Independence Pass at 12,095 feet. The route follows familiar territory with a speedy downhill to Twin Lakes, then leading south to the town of Buena Visita with sprint number 1. From here, the race continues on the rolling terrain of the South Park area and directs through the historic mining town of Fairplay with sprint number 2. Heading north is a gradual assent to Hoosier pass at 11,542 feet. A final surprise awaits the racers just at the city limit of Breckenridge, as they are diverted for a quick loop up Boras Pass Road for the final king of the mountain for the day.

Aspen Town– Race will lap twice to before going up the pass
Independence Pass – Top at King of the Mountain. Note that roads may close 2 or more hours before race starts. Top of pass may be at parking capacity, bike or hike to top
Hoosier Pass – board pass has good parking and great opportunity to watch the KOM. Arrive early as road closures could occur an hour before race arrival.
Boreas Pass Road – very narrow road, bike up only, not recommended for drive up.
