Tuesday, May 19 in New Hampshire is chock full of happenings for artists and art lovers alike. First up is opening day for the American Independence Museum in Exeter. The museum opens at 10 a.m. and gives attendees the option of guided or self-guided tours of the Ladd-Gilman House and Folsom Tavern. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for children under 6.

Among the documents at the museum are early drafts of the U.S. Constitution.

If you happen to be a filmmaker, make sure to note this date, the State Library in Concord will again be host to the NH film industry’s roundtable at 5 p.m. Perhaps the winners of this weekends film festival will be in attendance. For more information on the meeting, contact the New Hampshire Film and Television office at 603-271-2220 or email them at film@nh.gov.

Finally, in Manchester the Creative Club brings back their now third annual Iron Design Competition at Print Savvy on S. Commercial St. In this contest teams attempt to come up with the best marketing strategy for a product or service. Starting at 6 p.m., admission to this event is $15 or $5 for students and Creative Club members.
