When You Gotta Go…
Well…um…OK, I’ll just say it: When you gotta go, use GoPilot. Invented by a doctor who got his morning java then found himself stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, GoPilot is a handheld, portable urinal for travelers (I know…I know). According to the company, “Anyone that has ever ventured on a road trip knows the scenario of being stuck in traffic without a rest stop in sight. This is usually the time when someone in the car announces ‘I need a bathroom!’ This can be a difficult – and painful – situation for anyone, but quickly turns into a potty emergency when dealing with children, or adults with mobility or incontinence issues.”
Although I can see how the males among us could easily use this quart sized container with an accordion-style neck almost anywhere—in semi-trucks, boats, while camping, flying a private plane, tailgating, and/or on family road trips; basically anywhere a bathroom is not available (note: not for use while driving)—I’m not so sure how those of us with more delicate anatomical features (ahem) can take advantage of it. But in the interest of travel science, I will give it a try (in private, of course). Oh yeah, it comes in a cloth bag for easy storage that also acts as a helpful privacy shield.

Smart Travel Makes for Great Travel
Passports, IDs, credit cards, cash, bus or metro cards … there are a myriad of important documents and items you can keep from getting lost or stolen with passport and ID holders from StoreSMART. When traveling, particularly outside of the U.S., it is vitally important to guard these items while you are out and about.
Every year, the U.S. Embassies report that thousands of travelers have unfortunately experienced the nightmare of lost or stolen essentials that can make all the difference on your trip. That is why, the folks at StoreSMART say, the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs advises travelers to keep passports and credit cards concealed in a pouch beneath clothing. Very reasonably priced between $4.50 and $6.00, these durable vinyl holders with a black back can be worn around the neck and safely stashed beneath your clothing without detection from others.
