Huzzah! Medieval enthusiasts still have the chance to purchase a ticket to Trinity Cathedral's 31st annual Medieval Feast & Celebration to be held on Friday, January 25 and Saturday, January 26 where you can enjoy a night of Medieval revelry in a setting of gothic grandeur. Trinity Cathedral is located in downtown Cleveland.
Trinity Cathedral Medieval Feast & Celebration With a theme this year of "Camelot," guests will delight in an evening filled with period costumes, music, entertainment, food and drink.
Opening festivities begin at 6 p.m. in the Grand Hall with a mulled cider and wine reception followed by a procession of all participants into the Cathedral Nave.
Guests will then partake of a traditional multi-course Medieval feast accompanied by wine, ale or fruit juices. Special Note: Vegetarian selections are available.
The evening's interactive entertainment includes costumed strolling minstrels, magicians, fortune tellers and jugglers in addition to interactive games.
An Arts Bazaar will also be held both evenings of the Feast. Visitors to the Bazaar will be able to indulge is sweet chocolate concoctions made by the alchemist and watch the Knights of the Shiny Pottery hold council where they will defend honor and court with the use of ceramic whistles and gargoyles. Guests will also be able to purchase wares from the Eastern mystic including children's toys, beads and other ornamentation.
New this year to the Feast celebration will be a Silent Auction where guests can bid on items like private piano lessons and tickets to house concerts at Trinity Cathedral.
And make sure you don't miss the unique ceremony of the Pig's Head that concludes the evening's rollicking festivities and is supposed to bring good luck to the participants. Here's a hint: Kiss the piggy!
The wearing of Medieval costumes is not required but it is highly encouraged so that you will truly feel like you are part of the merrymaking.
