Trina Turk Fall 2013 reinterprets California style at New York Fashion Week (Photos)

Trina Turk debuts at New York Fashion Week with her Fall 2013 collection which she calls California Modern. The collection justifies the nomenclature with the refined and sophisticated style, rich colors and lush textures.

Trina Turk has been true to her style even with the re-interpretation of it - we can still see the glimpse of her California optimism in deep hues and indulgent patterns, particularly in the color block stripes and geometric patterns. The sleek top coats and chunky sweaters styled at the presentation with leather elbow gloves and wide brim hats are the flashback from the 70s but with a very present, modern feel to them.

The collection has a versatile mix of silhouettes in the form of jumpsuits, column dresses, gaucho pants and relaxed oversized outwear. The quilted bomber, plaid and houndstooth jackets and coats made with luxurious materials like sheared alpaca and curly lamb are the anchor pieces of Tina Turk Fall 2013 collection. Overall a very grown up, sophisticated collection with signature Tina Turk eclectic style.
