According to IndyStar on Wednesday, Indianapolis' trick-or-treating has been rescheduled for Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The decision was made after public safety officials consulted with the National Weather Service. Department of Public Safety spokesman Al Larsen said the change it dates is 'for the safety of those that are going to be out and about.'
Indianapolis isn't the only place to change their dates.
Anderson, Avon, Brownsburg, Cumberland, Danville, Fishers, Fortville, Greenfield, Greenwood, Johnson County, Lawrence, McCordsville, New Palestine, Plainfield, Shelbyville, and Southport are among the growing list of communities that moved the annual Halloween outing to Friday night.
Heavy rains and winds are in the forecast during trick-or-treating hours.
Many are wondering if the forecast will be true. 'Are u psychic?' posted Kaycee Schooley, Westfield. 'Do you know it’s going to be storming from 5-8 p.m. Thursday? This is Indiana.'
