Halloween Trick or Treat dates and times for 2012 have been set for Killeen and all of the surrounding areas including Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, and Fort Hood. It looks to be another fun night of trick or treat in the Killeen area.

Trick or Treat dates and times are as follows:

Copperas Cove: Wednesday October 31 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Fort Hood: Wednesday October 31 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Harker Heights: Wednesday October 31 from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Killeen: Wednesday October 31 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
The Killeen Mall will also be holding trick or treat on Wednesday October 31 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Additionally, Killeen and Harker Heights will be sponsoring town events as a safer trick or treat alternative for families. The city of Killeen’s annual Halloween Carnival will be held Wednesday, October 31, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.at the Special Events Center, 3301 S. W.S. Young Dr. The event will include games, a pumpkin patch, candy, and a haunted house.

The city of Harker Heights will sponsor Halloween Hoopla on Wednesday, October 31 from 5:30 pm - 8:30 at Carl Levin Park, 400 Miller's Crossing.

Copperas Cove will also be sponsoring a Safe Halloween Trick or Treat event at the Copperas Cove City Park on Saturday October 27, 4-10 p.m. For more information, visit the City of Copperas Cove website.

Those wishing to observe trick or treat on the listed nights are asked to turn on porch lights indicating that they have treats to give to trick or treaters. Similarly, trick or treaters are asked not to ring doorbells of homes where there is no light on.

Drivers are also reminded to be diligent while driving and watch for trick or treaters.
