If you've been hoping to take your triathlon training and race performance to the next level, you may be contemplating hiring a triathlon-specific coach or attending triathlon-specific training.

One option in the Maryland area is TriFitness Training, which offers clinics for triathletes. TriFitness Training was started by Anne Johnson, a USAT Level-I coach. She is an Ironman finisher, plans to complete in September's Ironman Wisconsin event, and was a participant in numerous Ironman 70.3 EagleMan, Columbia Triathlon and Iron Girl events. TriFitness Training has collected coaches with various specialties in triathlons.

Some upcoming TriFitness Training events include:

Triathlon open water swim clinics. These clinics will be held on July 14 and Aug. 4 at the Hammerman area of Gunpowder State Park in Chase, MD. Participants will be grouped via either beginner or intermediate categories. Click here to register for the July 14 clinic and here to register for the Aug. 4 clinic. The cost is $65 per person.

70.3/140.6 Endurance Camp. If you're hoping to compete in a long course (70.3) or ultra course (140.6), this Endurance Camp will collect coaches to focus on open water swimming, flat hot and windy bike rides and long, hot runs with fast transitions. You can choose to attend just the one-day camp or to do a full weekend by adding in the Saturday bike and indoor swim clinics. This Camp will take place on May 4 (option program on May 3), 2014 at Great Marsh Park in Cambridge, MD. Click here to register for the camp. The costs for the various attendance options are:
