Obviously time will tell who actually got the better of the deal, but Richardson has been underwhelming at most since joining the Colts.
His 1-yard touchdown run, the first carry as a member of the Indianapolis Colts was supposed to be the start of something special. The Andrew Luck – Trent Richardson connection that would lead the Colts to greatness for years to come, but instead the carries continue to pile up for Richardson – not the yards.
So far Trent Richardson has carried the ball 33 times, a Colts team-high. The bad part, he’s only averaging 2.9 yards per carry. He didn’t even lead the team in rushing against the Jaguars, that stat went to Donald Brown picking up 65 yards on his three carries.
Trent Richardson continues to lack the explosiveness needed and with the Seahawks up next it won’t get any better.
