The Cleveland Browns are sitting at 0-2 after the first two weeks of the 2013 NFL season, and their record is not the biggest news. ESPN reported on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, that the Browns shockingly traded running back Trent Richardson away to the Indianapolis Colts for a first-round draft pick.
It really isn't normal for a draft of this magnitude to happen this early in a season, and it is really making some big waves.
Richardson was the first-round pick of the Browns in last year's NFL Draft.
During his rookie campaign, Richardson rushed for 950 yards and had a Browns' rookie record of 11 touchdowns. So far this season, Trent Richardson has rushed for 105 yards on 31 carries through the first two games.
The Browns really didn't have a back-up for Richardson as their other running back is second-year player Bobby Rainey. Reports are now coming in that the Browns will bring free agent running back Willis McGahee in for a physical.
Indianapolis had just lost starting running back Vick Ballard to a season-ending injury. Ahmad Bradshaw and Donald Brown are already on the roster, but Richardson will up the team's depth considerably.
