This week Trent Reznor has stated that he will focus more on music under the NIN moniker next year. He even dropped the hint that a new NIN album may be released in 2012. Reznor formerly put the band on hiatus in order to focus on other musical projects such as his band How to Destroy Angels and to work on scores for both The Social Network and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. In an interview with British music magazine NME, Reznor reveals why he stopped making music under NIN: “It started to feel like if I didn't force myself into a change I would regret it. It's a fear of not wanting to try things because you're in a comfort zone. I always think about my hero David Bowie and his fearlessness to destroy something that isn't ready to break yet and start something new.” You can hear Reznor's score for the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo when it hits theaters December 21.
