In an interview with Alex Jones, the famed Gerald Celente said that one of two remedies we need to avoid total economic collapse is the development of our productive capacity, and the most likely candidate to provide that is an exotic alternative energy technology.

Bestselling author and coveted speaker, Gerald Celente is a world-renowned trends researcher, with a history of high accuracy in his economic forecasts. He is a frequent guest on cutting edge shows like Infowars and Coast to Coast AM, but he also makes regular appearances in the mainstream media, including CNN, Fox, and MSNBC.
His economic preference is in harmony with the Ron Paul type of laissez-faire advocacy. He is likewise very astute about the conspiratorial forces that are intentionally manipulating the economies of the world for their personal gain and power.
His predictions for the near future have been both accurate and grim. He foresees economic collapse, tax rebellion, and civil strife in America and elsewhere; and the imposition of a brutal totalitarianism worldwide – all by design, by the power elite – or that is what they like to think of themselves.
What can we do about it?
In an interview with Alex Jones on April 14, titled The Coming Great War of Our Age, in response to Alex's question to the effect, "What can we do to remedy this?", Celente listed two things. First, he said "We have to start doing business with each other. Buy American…"
Second, Celente said that "We need a productive capacity; and the best way that we see it is with alternative energy – not wind, solar, geothermal, biofuel, but something much bigger" – but the kinds of technologies talked about in the late Eugene Mallove's Infinite Energy magazine [and at PESWiki.com]. "They are on the cutting edge with cold fusion, zero point energy, charge clusters, permanent magnets."
Here is the excerpt that includes this dialogue between Alex Jones and Gerald Celente. His response to Alex's question begins at time stamp: 3:00. His response regarding the solution from free energy technologies begins at time stamp 3:50

Glad you picked this one up Sterling, was very happy hearing this on the AJshow!
Instead of the word "meltdown", how about "metamorphosis" instead? Meltdown implies chaos and destruction. But metamorphosis is what every caterpillar does in the cocoon.
We have inventors all over the planet slowly creating a revolution in their garages (cocoons). Celebrate that.
