Trending search ‘RIP Megan Fox’ is a Twitter hoax

A trending search is showing up as “RIP Megan Fox.” Thankfully, the “Transformers” and “This is 40” actress is alive and well. The trending search is due to yet another internet hoax, according to Gossip Cop on Jan. 3.

The rumor reportedly originated from Global Associated News, a site that often reports false news of celebrity deaths. The search began trending on Twitter on the evening of Jan. 2 and escalated from there. Although this is not the first time a celebrity death has been falsely reported, it is the first major celebrity death hoax of 2013.

Megan Fox is not only alive, but doing quite well. Megan and husband, Brian Austin Green, welcomed a baby boy, Noah Shannon Green, into the world on Sept. 27, 2012. Noah is Megan’s first child, who she absolutely adores. Megan has even hinted at having more children in the future, according to E!online.
