On the color spectrum red is considered a color of power, strength and passion but when it comes to fashion wearing red is considered a bold fashion statement. Whether you wear bold red lips or try something different like red lined eyes, wearing the color red either in your makeup up on in your clothing choice is one that will most definitely catch attention and draw people to you. If you’re a bold straightforward person this is a good thing for you but for those of you who are more introverted may shy away from the color red. There’s no need to though. There are other ways to wear the color red that will make your outfit pop but won’t make you necessarily stand out in a crowd.
Change up your daily denim or leather jacket for one in red. Not only will it give you the added pop that you need but it’s also a great way to add just a small amount of red to your wardrobe. Try a red varsity jacket for a casual look or consider a blazer paired with with leather for a more edgy look.
Red shoes have come a long way since Dorothy’s days so do get a great pair of red shoes to wear when the moment suits you. Red shoes go with everything from jeans to leather to a dress. Make red your new neutral shoe instead of beige and see what you can come up with.
Red pants always make me think of Superman tights but not when you wear a pair of tailored pants in today’s more modern cuts and fits. Even red skinny pants are no longer super hero inspiring. Wear a great pair of ¾ trousers for spring or fitted skinny jeans,
Don’t forget to add some red to your accessories as well. A great red statement necklace is a great way to wear red without over thinking. When in doubt, you can’t go wrong with a red bag. Just make sure its modernized with some metallic accents or hardware.
