Cute and sweet are two words that come into mind spring and summer's trending colors of mint and peach. These two delicate pastels are making there way into our wardrobes leaning towards warm days and summery moods. And even though when we think of warmer days we want to reach for our bold bright colors the subtlety of these two colors make a great blend that are more natural and suited for springy days.
Mint and peach will be seen together in not just street wear and work wear but also in bridal fashion as well. Mint was all the rage in Spring/Summer 2012 for brides and its definitely carrying over into this year. Pairing it up with peach gives it a whimsical softer yet vintage look that is going to be a must have for brides all over. You may not want to opt for a mint or peach dress but you can incorporate these colors into your accessories and shoes and even your bridesmaids.
For work wear or street wear, combining mint and peach can be a force to reckon with instead of looking childish if worn correctly. Consider pairing up a high low dress in mint with a peach blazer and keep the accessories muted by combining small pieces of silver and black wedges to complete the look. Another great way to wear the mint and peach combo to the office is by pairing up a pair of cigarette pants in mint with a pullover in peach. Once again the keep here is to keep your matching accessories to a minimum. Neutral colors work best but if you need to add a pop of color opt for a darker shade of mint in your shoes. If you prefer to not wear mint and peach together, use them as your new neutrals instead of white, gray or beige.
This season's mint and peach pairing are easy to work with when you give these girly colors a tough edgyness to them. Think baseball tops or studded tops with skinny jeans or a frilly top mixed with leather. Add some black and silver accessories or some boots or wedges. Play around with different textures and fabrics to get the look that works for you.
