It may be only be fall, but spring fashion is already ramping up. Spring 2014 is all about channeling old Hollywood by styling hair with loose chignons and deep side parts. The deep side part reflects a more romantic look, highlighting the face and profile.

“A deep side part instantly elevates any style from mundane to chic, no matter what hair type you have and whether you prefer your hair loose or gathered into a chignon or ponytail,” explains Anthony Turner, session stylist for L’Oréal Professionnel at NYC, London, and Paris Fashion Weeks.

The deep side part is also great for people with thin or fine hair, with the off center part creating more volume and texture. To create the look, apply L’Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Nourishing Oil both before and after, blow drying to keep hair shiny and frizz free. Use hair spray to keep the part in place and boost volume with a dry shampoo like L'Oreal Professionnel Fresh Dust.

Dry shampoo also works great for braiding hair and perfecting a loose bun or chignon. Use it to create more texture and make hair easier to grip and style. You can find the full line of L’Oréal Professionnel Salon Products at Square Salon or by searching LPsalons.com.
