Treat your Valentine to a Washington Wine and Chocolate Event

The days of wine, roses and chocolates are upon us.  Celebrate with your Valentine at one of the festivities being held at many Washington wineries.  Sample an array of award winning wines and fine chocolates from Washington’s best chocolate makers.  As you peruse the following list please note that some Wine Events are being held for charities.

The 4th Annual Enumclaw Wine and Chocolate Festival

This wine tasting event is taking place to benefit the I’m Too Young For This Cancer Foundation’s Seattle Chapter.  The funds will be used for the upcoming OMG Cancer Summit for Young Adults.  Sample some of the handcrafted wines with regal names, such as, “Lord Zachary’s Red”, named for the owner’s son.  Browse around the gift shop or enjoy your wine while sitting fireside.

Wine Into Water Benefit Wine-Tasting and Auction

This wine tasting event is an opportunity to enjoy the sampling of handcrafted wines from Corkscrew Cellars and help villagers in Nicaragua.  Imagine changing the wine you enjoy into clean water resources for children and a needy community.  Wine baskets, hotel stays, original artwork and more will be auctioned at the event.  The proceeds will go to build wells, improve sanitation and aid in health education in Nicaragua.

Guests must be 21 years of age and tickets are $20.00 at the door.

There are many Wine and Chocolate events scheduled around Washington State for the days leading up to February 14th.  Plan something special with your Valentine and perhaps help a charity at the same time.  The time has come to sample specialty wines, dazzle your taste buds with fine chocolates and explore some of the new wineries in your community.
