Afternoon tea might not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of what to do for Father's Day, but throw in some delicious savories and tasty brews, served up in luxurious surroundings, and this might become a new holiday tradition.

Sunday The Townsend will host its second annual Father's Day tea and Laura Klein, Tea Director at the Birmingham hotel, reached today by email, confirmed that craft beers will once again be featured along with the traditional afternoon tea menu.

Along with a selection of Harney & Sons teas, guests will be treated to a variety of finger sandwiches, miniature pastries and scones served with lemon curd and mascarpone cheese.

Limited seating is available and reservations are required. For more information, see The Townsend Hotel Afternoon Tea page or call 248-647-2196.
