It's a Friday night, and work is done. You're hungry, but not in the mood to cook or go home. But a bar, a movie, the mall or other noisy venue doesn't appeal to you, either
Jupiter's Riverwalk farmers market has a place for you, your appetite and your need for serenity and entertainment outside your own four walls.
The market is set up under the Indiantown Road bridge, which means it's a good place to be regardless of the weather. You can park to the south, in the Riverwalk Shops area (there is a covered garage), and stroll the path up to the bridge while enjoying the passing boats. The market features basic food choices: burgers, hot dogs, pastries, cheesesteaks, seafood, Italian ices and kettle-popped popcorn. You can also do some shopping for later: Kai-Kai Farms and QV Farms, both featuring local organic produce and offering an extensive array of fresh fruits, vegetables and jams. If you're looking for early Valentine's Day gifts, there are a few booths featuring local artists with a variety of art, clothing and jewelry for sale.
This market doesn't have the big vendor numbers or the bustle of its cousins in Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach, or even Abacoa or Tequesta. But what it does have is a view of the Intracoastal as it drifts from early evening into night. You can find a place to sit under the bridge, or head back to the walking path and find a spot on a bench or one of the covered "porches" that jut out over the water. Put your feet up, eat and enjoy the sight and sound of marine life.
