How can it already be August? If you’ve been waiting for some fun fitness events to come around so you can get in shape this summer, then stop waiting. August has several to choose from. And many are family friendly, featuring everything from 5Ks to half marathons. Here’s a list to help you plan your next fitness adventure. Foothills XC 12K If you’re ready for a cross-country challenge, be among the first 200 participants to take on this 12K race through Boise’s beautiful Foothills. For more information, click on this link.
Run For Your Life You can choose from a 5K, 10K, or half marathon course at this event. It takes place along the Boise River Greenbelt and is open to all abilities. Proceeds benefit Camp Rainbow Gold, a camp for kids with cancer, and their families. For more information, click on this link.

Race to Embrace This 5K and 1-mile family fun run support the Guatemala Embrace Effort scholarship program. Held at Settler’s Park in Meridian, the event also includes free classes for Zumba, Dance, and Karate. For more information, click on this link.
