I must admit, I first learned about Aubrey Organics a little over 30 years ago, when I was in high school. I remember the moment, too. I had gotten into a knock-down, drag-out with my sister and she excelled at yanking out hunks of hair. Unfortunately, you can't glue it back on . . . well, at least you couldn't in the pre-extensions days. Because of this, my mom was a little at a loss as to how to make this better. She looked saucer-eyed as she ruffled through my hair and dug deep into her recession-era purse and fished out $15. That was enough to feed our family of 5 then. She suggested I bike over to the health food store and ask if there were something they could do to help me.
After I told the health food store manager my story, she assured me that since I was young and healthy, one day my hair would come back, but it was important to get lots of nutritious food and to take care of the hair I still had very gently. She gave me some pamphlets written by the founder of Aubrey Organics, Aubrey Hampton. I didn't even know what "organic" meant! I was from Big Ag country and chemicals were good things that "kept the bugs away". I was open-minded enough to learn, though, as I knew I couldn't use the industrial solvent shampoos that my mom got "for the kids".
Aubrey Organics also takes beautiful care of your skin. If your skin flips out when traveling like mine does, you need to be using a pure line like it. I was happy to be hosted to experience it!
Their EveryDay Basics line is perfectly sized and conceived for your 3-1-1 carry-on travel bag: You only need two products -- one to clean, one to moisturize. Pick whether your normal skin leans oily or dry . . . that's all you need to decide. They each have refreshing, good-smelling natural herbs and oils. For an extra treat after cleansing but before moisturizing, try the perfectly sized Sparkling Mineral Water Complexion Mist with Grapefruit/Lavender/Ylang Ylang. You should keep it in your bag to spritz on during flights, long car/train trips or while hiking. These essential oils protect a number of different types of skin.
