I lived in a small West Virginia mountain town for about a year, many years ago. I used to have fears that one day, I'd start looking like Mammy Yokum from Lil' Abner, without my needed beauty products to help those years ease by. It used to be that the best you could hope from a grocery store was some olive oil to maybe take off your makeup. The other stuff -- the soaps, the hair products, etc. -- you were better off waiting until you were somewhere else.
Fortunately (!), things have really changed, with the B-leve brand. I was really glad to be hosted to experience it. When you're traveling in the northern parts of the US and Canada -- for now, soon to grow, I'm sure -- sometimes, you have to get your beauty act together in a hurry! Isn't the thought of quality beauty products available at grocery stores, many of which are open 24/7, a huge relief? You can be anywhere, doing anything --camping, hiking, moving friend's apartments -- and get properly fixed up within an hour. You can also buy B-leve products online.
People talk about their "desert island" products they need, usually naming mascara. What, are they kidding? My must-have are tweezers! In my mind, I wouldn't even appreciate traveling in a time machine . . . unless it were a time with indoor plumbing and tweezers. They have a clever little kit with tweezers and a teeny tweezer, that you may as well keep in your wallet for emergencies. It also has a mirror and eyelash/brow groomer. When I went to arts camp as a teenager, I saw that all the dancer/models used eyelash combs and forevermore, so do I.
Their other beauty tools can create a professional makeup look, like never before available at grocery and drug stores.
Have you noticed that emery nail boards have not only gotten flimsy, but they're getting harder and harder to find! I suppose with artificial and gel nails, fewer girls are filing. Well, I'm still filing! They have a glass nail file which will never wear out and comes with its own case, so it won't snap in your purse.
And let's face it: the prices are just right!
This is what they say about B-passionate Body Lotion:
b•passionate body lotion provides long-lasting moisturization with a delicate, floral scent. Oleofirm™, a groundbreaking moisturization technology, is derived from tiny microseeds that release moisture both during application and as the day goes on.
• natural extract of cocoa butter & vitamin E – restores skin’s moisture & balance
• natural extract of goji berry – provides a fortifying, antioxident moisturization
• paraben-free • non-irritating & hypoallergenic
It's very rich for a pump lotion and of course, the pump is super-convenient in the morning. It's got a nourishing, not greasy texture.
Their b-bright eye roll-on is a modern product: the little metal ball helps chill away puffy eyes . . . you could even keep it in the fridge for extra relief!
b-restful rejuvenating night cream is rich, yet not goopy. It feels protective this time of year, for sure. I don't wake up with clogged pores or greasy. Here's what they say about it:
b•restful anti-aging night repair cream provides intense moisturization as it firms, repairs and protects skin while you sleep. Natural grape stem cell technology helps heal damaged skin cells. This gentle yet effective formulation delivers unparalleled antioxidant and anti-aging benefits to the skin and effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
• antioxidants provide intensive repair & protection • rejuvenates & firms the skin
• non-irritating & hypoallergenic
Their hair products -- like the b-voluptuous shampoo and conditioner contains olive, white tea and cactus, as well as lower amounts of silicone. Though you may have other shampoos you use, this is a good line for refreshing your hair. Also, even if you want a sleeker style than a full volume set creates, it sets up a good, healthy looking base to create your look and use your styling products as usual.
