Traveled to the world's most luxe spas? You know Aromatherapy Associates!
Tamar Alexia Fleishman, Esq.

If you've looked at the retail section in some of the world's most exquisite, luxe spas, you've seen Aromatherapy Associates products. This British company -- which also operates its own spa in London -- has a seemingly simple mission: a simple pursuit, sharing the true power of essential oils and the incredible effects they have at a therapeutic level. There are other companies with similar claims, but not efficacious and glamorous (in the Old English sense of the word!) as this. They even say that some of their products are mind altering! That's why I was happy to be hosted to experience it.

Possibly, you have not been able to travel and participate in the exclusive spas of the world . . . at least, not just yet. But your soul has a crying need to be pampered! Let's talk about how to do that at home.

Renewing Rose Hydrating Body Gel has the the hydrating and softening powers of rose, geranium, evening primrose and jojoba. It's quite the unique product on the marketplace, texture and use-wise. They advise that you can use it by itself, or best to layer under the corresponding oil or cream. That's a good idea to really lock hydration in. But if you're in a hurry to dress, the gel is perfect on its own. If you put it in the fridge for a bit, I personally think it makes for an effective cellulite treatment. Here's another tip: I was recently checking out a resort spa in Arizona and they talked about a treatment where gel was layered under body mask, then you get wrapped up in Mylar. Why not do that in the privacy of your own bathroom, wrapping up in plastic wrap, then foil, then an old beach towel? Save your self a couple of hundred dollars, why not?

If you love reading beauty magazines as much as I do, no doubt you've been hearing about the facial oil trend for a while now. But perhaps you didn't know where to dip your toe into the water . . . .er . . . oil? After all, nobody wants a heavy, too-rich oil that clogs your pores. But doesn't it make sense that even your serums and creams need a little boost, especially in this Polar Vortex weather much of the nation has been experiencing? Though light and silky, their Fine Line Face Oil is a super-rich treatment to diminish the appearance of fine lines, with anti-aging oils of evening primrose and ximenia. "Essential oils of rose and patchouli encourage healthy glowing skin while apple and raspberry seed oils help to plump your skin’s appearance, softening the look of fine lines." All you need is a pump or two, to give your skin's appearance a boost! It doesn't interfere with makeup application at all, either.

If you're traveling and let's say the accommodations aren't as <ahem> posh as you would like, distract yourself with some of Aromatherapy Associates' travel products. For God's sake, don't use those nasty, harsh toiletries that the budget places put out!
