In places where there's lots of snow all of the time, a culture of color has sprouted up in buildings, accessories. As I sit in the results of the Polar Vortex, I wonder when everything had to be created in utilitarian, non-staining black. I want to think, dream, imagine and write in Technicolor! I've learned the hard way that you really need to take travel notes on paper, not just an electronic device. That's why I was glad to be hosted to experience Rifle Paper Co.'s products!
Here's a little info on their company:
Rifle Paper Co. is a stationery and gift brand based in Winter Park, Florida founded by husband and wife team, Anna and Nathan Bond.
What began as a small business based out of Anna and Nathan's 1-bedroom apartment has quickly grown into a worldwide brand over the last four years. Our products feature Anna's whimsical designs which often include hand-painted illustrations and lettering to compose a style that feels both nostalgic and timeless.
All of our paper products are printed in the USA and are inspected and assembled by hand in our studio. We use FSC-certified paper stocks with recycled content, environmentally responsible printers, and select high quality materials that allow for products that are both well-made and enhance our designs. Everything that we create is well thought to ensure that we end up with a collection of products that we would not only use but are incredibly proud of.
In the sentiment of the recent Olympics -- USA! USA! USA!
The products have whimsical drawings and non-cookie cutter colors.
The travel journal has lined pages and non-lined facing pages. The line pages have a location box and date . . . that's great! Sometimes on a press trip, I'm hoping that one of my friends is part of the press entourage, so I can double-check which of 4 museums we've seen in a day had the statue. Now, a little organization and independence! The pages are securely fastened and the cover has a nice, heavy stock texture. It's the size of a small paperback book.
