Christmas Eve Torchlight Ski Parade in Red River, NM: Holiday Celebration Rail Jam and Torchlight Parade located on the ski slope adjacent to Lift House Bar & Grill. This is a beautiful light show put on by the ski/snowboard instructors, patrol, locals, and some of their guests who ski/snowboard down the mountain with flares while fireworks light up the sky. Christmas Eve on Canyon Road in Santa Fe: Most people head to downtown and to Canyon Road for Christmas Eve.It is best to arrive by 5 or 5:30. This year, I'll be among the walkers on Canyon Road enjoying the farolitos, warming myself by the bonfire and looking for a friend who is dressed as a 6ft. plus elf! We'll window-shop the galleries and enjoy an evening sans cars on narrow Canyon Road. After enjoying that scene, and probably feeling chilled to the bone, we'll head to a local restaurant for dinner.
