If you are a traveler and haven’t figured out how to properly show off your photos, Pinterest is a new, creative way to share your photos with others.
Pinterest (www.pinterest.com) is a new form of social media which allows users to create boards (categories) on which they “pin” photos that are relevant to those categories. In the end you have different pinboards based on your interests. Pinterest is really personal and a lot of fun.
The best thing about Pinterest are the comments- it’s a very positive space with surprisingly little negative commentary (which rare in the current world of social media). Pinterest users have an appreciation for art, beauty and design. Once you have posted a photo, other people can see them, like them and re-pin them to their own boards. For example, if you have an amazing photo of a cathedral in France, another user can re-pin that photo on their “France” or “Cathedrals” boards.
Pinterest is a great way to display your favorite travel photos from your recent trips and not-so-recent trips. You can create Pinterest boards for every destinations or you could create one “best of travel” board to include all of your favorite, beautiful photos. The layout of the site is clean and ideal for picture sharing.
